Weld Mold 880 A "Universal" super-strength chrome/nickel alloy. Welds are dense, crack-desensitized and resistant to heat and corrosion. High yield strength, excellent ductility and elongaton. Used to join carbon, stainless, spring, manganese, tool and die steels and numerous dissimilar alloys. Rc Available forms: >SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW Weld Mold 888 Its unique composition of super-strength chrome/nickel will respond to almost all tool-steel heat treatments and retain its superior mechanical properties. Deposits are dense, non-porous, smooth, crack-desensitized and resistant to corrosion and heat-scaling up to 1,200 Deg. F. Uses include the joining and repair of cracked or fractured tools, dies and fixtures. Also for anti-frictional surfaces on valves, bearings and shafts. RC Weld Mold 919 A nickel/chrome/moly alloy for welding wrought and cast AISI 4340 components where the weld metal must be of the same composition as the base metal.

Rc as-welded, Rc flame-hardened Specification: AISI 4340 Available forms: SMAW, FCAW, GTAW Weld Mold 922 For welding flame-hardening AISI 4130 steel. A chrome/moly alloy for buildup or reclamation of dies, forgings and castings and for joining thin sections of 4130 steel when specific properties and chemistry must be maintained. Pre and post heat treatment is recommended. Rc as-welded, flame-hardens to Rc Specification: AISI 4130 Weld Mold 9210 For welding AISI P-20. A high-quality drawn wire of chrome/moly/mold steel designed to match the wear and polishing qualities of most injection-mold steels. Deposits are dense, tough and readily machined. Rc as-welded Specification: AISI P-20 Available forms: GTAW, GMAW Weld Mold 937 For welding AISI A-2 through A-6 air-hardening tool steels and upgrading wear areas on lower alloys. Deposits are hard as-welded, fine grained and completely heat-treatable. Uses include the repair and reclamation of extrusion, blanking, coining and forming dies. Rc Specification: AISI A-2 Weld Mold 938 For the welding, repair and reclamation of high-carbon, high-chromium AISI D-2 air-hardening tool steels, preferably in the annealed condition. Uses include the reclamation of blanking, forming and drawing dies. Also for cold-working punches, trimmers and slitting knives. RC as-welded, Rc heat-treated Specification: AISI D-2 Available forms: SMAW, FCAW, GTAW Weld Mold 954 A low-carbon chrome/moly/tungsten machinable hot work alloy with very good thermal fatigue resistance. Used to repair or reclaim damaged and worn dies where heat checking due to water

cooling is a problem and where machining in the as-welded condition is necessary. Uses include the repair of upsetter, press, hammer and insert forging dies. Also all AISI H-Series tool steels, where as-welded machinability is required. Rc Weld Mold 958 For the repair and reclamation of AISI H-12 hot-work tool steel. A chrome/moly/tungsten/vanadium alloy which resists wear, shock, heat checking and erosion at high temperatures. Excellent coldworking properties and uniform heat-treatment response. Water spray coolants should be avoided. This alloy is also available in a titania-coated version for superior re-strike and AC operation as Weld Mold 957. Rc Specification: AISI H-12 Weld Mold 959 For the repair and reclamation of AISI H-13 hot work tool steel. It is a tungsten-free 5% chrome/moly alloy used on hot-work tool and dies that are subject to heat checking, especially when water-based coolants are used. Uses include the repair and overlay of aluminum, zinc and magnesium die-casting dies, press-forging dies and inserts. Rc Specification: AISI H-13 Weld Mold 966 A high-quality, finely drawn, 8% molybdenum, high speed alloy used for the repair and reclamation of AISI M-1 and M-2 high-speed tool steel. It retains maximum hardness up to operating temperatures of 1,100 Deg. F., along with good wear and abrasion resistance. Typical applications include repair of broaches, drills, and piercing, blanking and trimming dies. Double tempering is strongly recommended. Rc as-welded Specification: AISI M-2 Hardfacing Weld Materials Hard-facing tools and equipment to resist impact, abrasion, erosion, heat, corrosion and a wide variety of wear problems.

Weld Mold 420 A 13% chromium martensitic stainless alloy for welding 420 stainless and for cladding low-alloy steels for resistance to corrosion, wear, oxidation and erosion. A universal alloy for cladding and hard-facing many types of steel-mill rolls and components as well as plastic molds and die-casting dies. Pre and post heat treatment is recommended. Specification: AWS-E420 Weld Mold 601 A cobalt base alloy with outstanding resistance to abrasion, heat and corrosion. This alloy has a low coefficient of friction and aquires a high polish in service. Not recommended for applications involving impact or where crack-free weld deposits are required. Uses include the overlay of extrusion screw conveyors, valve systems and bearings. Rc Specification: AWS-RCoCr-C Available forms: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, OAW Weld Mold 606 The most versatile of the cobalt base alloys, exhibiting high tensile strength, metal-to-metal wear, corrosion and erosion properties. Polyface 606 has exceptional resistance to thermal shock and maintains its hardness at high temperatures. Uses include overlays on valves, hot shear blades, punches, chain-saw bars and components in molten zinc baths (galvanizing). Rc Specification: AWS-RCoCr-A Available forms: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, OAW Weld Mold 612 Combining outstanding hardness, toughness and resistance to corrosion and heat, the properties of this cobalt-based alloy lie between series 601 and 606. Overlays resist abrasion, corrosion and moderate impact and acquire a high polish in service. Uses include overlays on screw conveyors and augers in the rubber and plastic industry, gas and diesel engine components, extrusion screws and various valves. Rc Specification: AWS-RCoCr-B Available forms: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, OAW Weld Mold 673

A nickel/chrome/moly alloy that resists high heat, impact corrosion, metal-to-metal wear and thermal shock. This alloy is also available in composite form as Polyface 673-C. deposits rapidly work-harden from Rc as-welded to Rc Uses of these alloys include overlays of Hastelloy C, hot forge dies, trimmers and punches, hot shear blades, extrusion dies and blastfurnace bleeder valves.
